Description |
Half leather (rubbed and worn), marbled boards (a litle scratched), gilt title to backstrip. Transfer printing. Libretto by the composer; first performed on 26 July 1882 at Bayreuth. The earliest issue contains ca 110 printing errors, which were indicated on the corrigenda leaf. Only one of the corrections is implemented in the present copy - the first one of all (p.5, system 6, bar 1), where the first note in the piano accompaniment, left hand, is corrected to b (instead of the original e). The other original misprints persist here but have been altered in pencil by a former owner. The full score was not published until December 1883. |
