Inscribed to Marie Caroline Miolan-Carvalho (1827-1885) and signed, in ink, with an autograph quotation of three bars by the composer. Some foxing. First performed at the Théâtre de la Monnaie, Brussels, under Stoumon and Calabrési, December 1881. |
