Description |
Contemporary plain boards (front joint and corners worn). Title vignette engraved by I.P. Pflugfelder. Title with extensive ownership inscription dated 1858, to Herrn Seidel from a government official of Munich; guarded at inner margin. Curious stamp (twentieth-century origin) with text "Printed in Germany" stamped to foot of title. Engraved. One of the earliest vocal scores of the opera and a very early Simrock imprint. Arrangement by Friedrich Eunike (1764-1844). From the collection of Christopher Hogwood (1941-2014). |
