Quarter cloth with plain boards (edges worn and bumped. Hand-made paper. Signed by the publisher. Facsimile reproduction of the third edition of 1682. In the first and second editions the "Brief introduction to musick" is given as by Thomas Davidson. The composers named are G.G. Castoldi [Gastoldi], Henry Lewis, Simon Ives, William Webb, John Savile and Dr Wilson. Armorial bookplate of Godfrey Edward Pellew Arkwright (1864-1944). |
