Quarter leather (edges rubbed, head and foot a little worn and torn) with straight-grained morocco boards (some scuff marks), gilt title, and initials "G.M.B."; with ownership signature of "Georgina Mary Byrne, Cabinteely" [1798-1864]. Copyist's manuscript in brown ink on sixteen-stave paper. Watermarks include crown atop a device, and crescent moons. Early line engraved portrait of the composer fixed to front end-paper. |
