Description White paper. Typed letter on one side of the paper, signed 'Ben', replying to a note from Aprahamian, letting him use 'my Dupré theme' for André Marchal to improvise upon as Britten will not have time to write another before going to Russia. Also concerning his forthcoming composition for the centenary of the Red Cross [Cantata misericordium, Op.69] but not allowing any mention of the "Good Samaritan" as being the subject matter as this was apparently causing problems in Geneva.
Reference Banks p.127 notes that the composition draft was finished on 25 May.
